We, the people from Barcelona Perl Mongers have just setup the V Barcelona Perl Festival on Thu May 29th, since brian d foy accepted our invitation to meet us in Barcelona. Besides, we could arrange a seminar that brian will be giving to technical and academic staff at the UPC, on Mon June 2nd.

brian d foy is the founder of the first Perl user group, New York Perl Mongers, but he has also collaborated with more than 200 Perl user groups around the world in the last years. He is a consultor in Stonehenge Consulting Services since 1998, editor of The Perl Review, autor of several books about the subject (Mastering Perl, Learning Perl, Intermediate Perl, etc.) and has been a speaker in several events and conferences. His articles are published in several media, like The O'Reilly Network, The Perl Journal, Dr. Dobbs and The Perl Review, plus some Perl usenet groups.
